Our church was founded by Pastor Jim Brown in October of 1985 under the name Desert Valley Baptist Church.  We met originally in Four Peaks Elementary School until 1989 when we were able to purchase land on Mountain View road.  The buildings were mostly built and have been maintained by laymen in our church.  Over the years, our church has been able to gain another plot of land and add a parsonage which was later converted into a multi-purpose facility.  In 2005 we changed our name to Canyon Springs Baptist Church and in 2009 we paid off our mortgage and became debt free. In 2011 The Lord allowed us to purchase an Adjacent 1.25 acre lot that we use as a current overflow parking lot and future expansion. in 2012 our church embarked on a building project to add a much needed foyer space and curb appeal for our mountain view community.  We now own 3.75 acres of land and two buildings at the base of the Superstition Mountain.  God continues to give us families both young and old that want to serve the Lord and be a part of this family of God.  Our purpose statement is “A family in Christ growing together.”
